課程概述 |
以培養專業中英會議口譯員為目標的碩士班課程，以基礎逐步口譯英譯中課程培養的技巧為基礎，訓練學生進一步掌握積極聆聽、邏輯分析、善用記憶、逐步口譯筆記等技巧，完成技術性含量較高的逐步口譯英進中任務，同時鍛練主動求知、解決問題、尋找資源的能力。本課程大量運用真實會議材料，以專業譯者應有的整體表現與品質為標準。修畢本課程後，學生將精通如何獨立準備口譯工作，正確流利地完成口譯工作。學生也將有機會與專業口譯員及口譯客戶實際接觸，建立專業逐步口譯服務的策略性思維與職業倫理。 |

1. Master the skills of coordinating different efforts needed to provide fluent and accurate consecutive interpreting of more specialized or technical speeches from English to Chinese
2. Improve and achieve consistency in quality, accuracy, and loyalty in performing English to Chinese consecutive interpreting
3. Master survival strategies for consecutive interpreting
4. Identify personal strengths and weaknesses in consecutive interpreting from English into Chinese and continue to improve |

課程要求 |
Loads of intentional practice is key to mastering consecutive interpreting skills. Other than exercises in class, students are expected to practice on their own and with their fellow classmates outside of class. They will be asked to present the result of their own practice by handing in practice logs with descriptions of the speech materials for practice, self-critique of their own performance, and strategies for continued improvement. |
